3. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data: Contact form: name, email address, company name, professional profile, use case description, and optional message. Account and service data: when you use Cortex as a registered user, we collect login credentials, usage activity, and project data you create. Server logs: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and timestamps, collected automatically by our web servers.
4. Purpose & Legal Basis (GDPR)
We process your data for the following purposes: To respond to your contact form submissions (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). To provide and improve our service to registered users (legal basis: performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). To analyse site traffic and improve user experience (legal basis: legitimate interest for privacy-friendly analytics; consent for Google Analytics cookies where required). To fulfil legal obligations (legal basis: compliance with legal obligations, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
5. International Data Transfers
IMEDIATIS TechLab SARL is based in Cameroon. Some of our service providers — including hosting and analytics tools — are located in the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA. Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
6. Third-Party Processors
We share data with the following processors: Resend (email delivery): receives contact form data to send transactional emails. resend.com/privacy. Google Analytics: collects anonymised browsing data for traffic analysis. policies.google.com/privacy. Plausible Analytics: a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies or collect personal data. Cloud hosting provider: our servers are hosted with a cloud provider; data may be stored in the US or EU.
7. Data Retention
Contact form data is retained for up to 24 months from the date of your inquiry. Server logs are retained for up to 12 months. Account data is retained for the duration of your account and up to 6 months after deletion, unless a longer period is required by law.
